The Application Process

Good on ya’ Mate for thinking about studying abroad! Edustralia is here to assist you all the way through…starting now. On this page, we will guide you through the whole process of applying to a college or university in the country of your choice. It’s a fairly straightforward process, and it’s easy to follow through. Although we can never guarantee that you will be accepted into a college or that your visa will be approved, we will always do our best to make it happen.

Step 1: Making the decision

We know that studying abroad seems daunting sometimes, and the decision to study elsewhere can be difficult because your will be far from your family and friends; however, each country does have a lot to offer, and that’s why you’re probably still reading this.

Once you’ve made up your mind – and that’s the hardest step – the rest becomes very easy and simple.

Step 2: Choosing the right degree and the right institution

Ok! So you’ve made up your mind and decided to study abroad. Now what? Now, you need to decide what you would like to study and where. Unless you are coming to school here, you have two main options: Vocational Education and Training (VET) or University.

There are many factors to consider while choosing which pathway is best for you, so feel free to contact us! In case we don’t have something for you now, sign up to our newsletter and we will e-mail you once we have something. We are committed to giving you the best advice and would love to chat it out with you! Once you have chosen where to study, it’s time to start applying.

Step 3: Sending Applications

Once you have decided to move forward with the application and paid the application fee, our agents will help you find suitable colleges to apply to. After browsing through the list of providers we work with and seeing our suggestions, we will work on filling in your application forms with you and help you gather and organise the documents you will need for the application. In general, we allow you to apply through us to three providers at any given time. In case an application is withdrawn or refused, we will help you apply for another. We will advise you on the best colleges or universities to apply to based on the factors you choose.

Step 4: Consider Offers

After sending your application, you typically need to wait a few days to a few weeks before getting an answer. While some providers will accept you based on your file, others may request further information. Once the institution accepts your application, you will get a Letter of Offer (LoO) from them. This letter details everything about the program you were accepted to including course fees and other details. Once you accept this offer and pay the associated fee, the provider will send you a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), which is a very important document for your visa application.

Note: this process may differ from country to country. Our agents will help clarify matters to you as you go along.

Step 5: Applying for your Student Visa

Visa requirements vary depending on the level of your country and the country your are going to study in, but we will advise you on that before the application process begins. Of course, Edustralia is there to help you all the way.

Step 6: Planning your trip

When you receive your student visa, we will get in touch with your education provider and start planning for your arrival to make it as smooth as possible for you. We will also help you in acquiring suitable accommodations. This time would be the best time for you to do as much research as possible about the location of your provider as well as your surroundings so that you don’t feel completely out of place. You are welcome to contact us with any questions at any time.
